Create and publish your first offer

Use the same complete editor before and after publishing. Move directly between Overview, Messaging & localization, Placement & design, and Campaigns while the storefront preview stays visible.

Quick answer

Open Offers and create one clear offer. Choose its market scope explicitly, review every editor section and preview, then save a draft or publish. Use Optimize only after the live baseline is ready.

Setup steps

1

Open Offers

Open the Offers area and choose to create an offer.

2

Name the offer

Use an internal name that makes its market, purpose, or season easy to recognize.

3

Choose the market scope

Select All markets or choose specific Shopify Markets.

4

Set the threshold

Choose dynamic free shipping and enter the qualifying amount, or use static banner mode when no progress amount is needed.

5

Review Messaging & localization

Write the shopper messages and configure available language, country, and shopper-currency behavior.

6

Review Placement & design

Choose the top banner, cart drawer, or cart summary and adjust the offer styling.

7

Use the storefront preview

Switch between desktop and mobile while reviewing every enabled placement.

8

Save a draft or publish

Keep the setup as a draft, or publish it when the targeting, message, and preview are ready.

9

Resolve readiness guidance

When shown, follow the storefront readiness or theme app-embed guidance and verify the live store.

10

Open Optimize

After the baseline is live, compare it with one second threshold.

How the unified editor works

One editor, before and after publishing

You do not have to finish a separate simplified wizard. Move directly among Overview, Messaging & localization, Placement & design, and Campaigns. Campaign scheduling becomes available for a published offer. The Offers library distinguishes draft, published, and currently live states.

Preview and design guidance

The persistent desktop and mobile preview reflects enabled placements. Contrast guidance is advisory: review it carefully, but it does not block saving or publishing.

All markets and selected markets

Precedence is explicit
  • An All markets offer runs unless a more specific selected-market offer matches.
  • Shopify verifies targeting conflicts before publication.
  • Existing targeting is preserved explicitly; it is never silently inferred as All markets.

Banner not showing?

Check these first
  • The offer is published.
  • The selected placement is enabled.
  • The app embed is enabled in your active theme.
  • The offer applies to the current Shopify Market or currency.
  • The storefront page is not showing an older cached version.
Next step

After your first offer is live, open Optimize and compare a second threshold.
