Free Shipping A/B / Help

A working offer.
Then a useful test.

Start with your storefront setup. Come back when you are ready to compare thresholds or need a hand with a result.

  1. Create your first offer

Choose a threshold, publish, and check your store.

  2. Run your first test

Compare one alternative against a working offer. Give shoppers time to respond before choosing what stays live.

  3. Make sense of your results

Separate an early lead from a decision you can defend. Review profit and uncertainty before changing your live offer.

  4. Find your missing bar

Work through these checks in order. Verify the storefront after each change so you know what fixed it.

  5. Understand a charge

Check your subscription, trial dates, and approved Shopify billing terms.

  6. Set up offers for your markets

Keep the threshold, currency, language, and checkout eligibility consistent for each audience.

  7. Schedule a temporary offer

Use a campaign for a promotion with a defined start and end. Check its interaction with experiments before scheduling.

Traffic and test-size planner

Common questions

How much traffic does a test need?

Start with the traffic planner to estimate how much traffic your test may need. Smaller profit differences and greater variation in order profit usually need more data.

Before a winner can qualify, a test needs at least seven full days, 1,000 mature exposures per side, and 200 confidently matched orders in total. These minimum checks are not a traffic target. Confidence and traffic-quality checks must also pass. A conclusive result can require substantially more data. Reaching these minimums does not guarantee a winner.

How long does a test run?

New experiments run for up to 13 weeks, with confidence checked weekly. Measurement ends early if either offer qualifies as a statistically supported winner. You choose which offer to apply.

A test can still be inconclusive at the end. Experiments already running under an older method keep their original testing rules.

Will I get a conclusive result during the free trial?

Not necessarily. The 14-day trial gives you time to set up an offer and start collecting data. Reaching a statistically supported result depends on your traffic, variation in order profit, and the difference between the offers. It can take longer than the trial or remain inconclusive.

Use the traffic planner before you start to explore the traffic needed for different profit improvements. Its estimates do not guarantee a winner or a result within the trial.

Will the app change my shipping rates?

Shopify controls shipping rates and delivery options. The app synchronizes free-shipping discounts and storefront messages for published offers. Check compatibility.

Can a small store use it?

Yes. Publish clear shipping messages and use tests to investigate a meaningful change. Limited traffic means more uncertainty, especially for small differences. Plan around your traffic.

Where do I find subscription terms?

See pricing before subscribing. For an existing charge, read billing help.
